{LosCuellar.com.mx 201} SOMOS PRIMOS November 2009 119th Online Issue

Click here: Somos Primos: Dedicated to Hispanic Heritage and Diversity Issues

Dear friends and family:

Next month's issue will complete ten years of Somos Primos online. This last decade has made leaps in technological advances impacting the general public. New personal websites, archives, organizations, museums, libraries, collections, blogs, etc. are being added to the web, daily.  Latinos can benefit greatly, but we have to do it ourselves.  The internet is giving us the opportunity to share who we are.  We do not have to be defined by how others perceive us anymore. It is our responsibility, and many Latinos and groups are feeling that responsibility.

www.Tejanosunidos.org  is brand new website dedicated not only to share Tejano, but also to encourage personal responsibility to share our history publicly for increased understanding by all.   Somos, en escrito at  www.ollin.com/somos  mounted by Armando Rendon is  dedicated to encourage literary expression by Latinos.   The Hispanic Medal of Honor Society is reaching out with a new website, www.LegacyofValor.  It will be in place by December, dedicated to veterans.

So, you can see, it is starting to really happen.  Hispanic/Latinos are reclaiming our history, to the benefit of our children, and the nation.  Confusion only exists where knowledge is missing.

Thank you all for your contributions, encouragement, and sharing during the last ten years.  I invite you to send your feelings about your history, heritage, traditions, family, and ancestors for the December 2009 issue of Somos Primos. If you would like to send a photo, or write a poem, or send a sketch, that would be fun too. Whatever you would like to share, in whatever mode of expression would be wonderful.

Warmest regards, Mimi
