     Personal Notes from Robert
-------------------------------------------

Hi Benicio,

I was at a recent presentation that covered some of the new and
wonderful things that are happening with the "The Family History
Archives," and was going to revisit this topic in this month's
issue. However, the search engine on the Family History Archive is
going wonky, so I am not going to send you there until they get it
fixed.

However, this month we are going to look at some outstanding
resources from FamilySearch that are new, or often overlooked.

    Let's get started...

        ;-) Robert

-------------------------------------------------------
Quick Follow up to "Why Genealogy?" from August issue
-------------------------------------------------------
In the August issue, there is section titled: "WHY Are You
Interested in Genealogy and Family History?"

Several readers responded and shared their reasons, thoughts, and
feelings about the "Why" of genealogy, from their point of view.

I've got to say that they were wonderful and thought provoking.
There were some surprises for me, as well. I was touched. Have you
seen them yet?

Be sure to read their insightful and moving comments at:

Last Week to Get the Extensive "Pajama Genealogy System" Training
------------------------------------------------------------------
The popular "Pajama Genealogy System" course, in it's current video
on CDs format, will no longer be available after September 30th.

* See:  http://pajamagenealogy.com/

I've gotten a lot of email about this. Elsie Mallett said:

"Robert, The Pajama Genealogy videos are amazing. You have done
such a remarkable job in getting the information to us. Words can't
express how talented you are. I find it difficult to believe that
you will not be using it again. It's almost like my best friend
died. I am very disappointed that we have such a short time
remaining with the videos." (Elsie Mallett)

This extensive training has helped many people, and "Pajama
Students"
have told me that it was like having me there as a kind and helpful
friend, as I coached them through each lesson.

NOTE: Please understand, the Pajama Genealogy System itself, is NOT
going away. It is just going to be in a different "ebook format."

But, if you are a "visual learner" like me, and like to learn by
seeing things done in "action," and likes to see "every little
detail" about a topic, this your last chance to grab the course.

------------------------------------------------------------
Here's What You Get With the Existing (video on CDs) Version
of the "Pajama Genealogy System" Training Course...
------------------------------------------------------------
Here's all the goodies you will get:

* "PAJAMA GENEALOGY Research System" video on CDs course:
(Includes 4 CDs with additional Bonus and Reference Materials
on Disk #4 - There are over 3 1/2 hours of training).

- The Pajama Genealogy Promise: "How to do most of your genealogy
research from your home in your pajamas. Using your computer,
the Internet, and your kitchen table."

* "Guide to the Best Free Internet Genealogy Databases and How to
Use Them Step-by-Step" (Includes 2 CDs - with over 1-1/2 hours
training). This course is an ADDITIONAL free bonus when you order
the Pajama Genealogy video on CDs course. Together, with the Pajama
Genealogy System, you get over 5 HOURS of lessons.

* Here's a Big Secret...I always add surprise bonus materials for
those who get the Pajama Genealogy course, but I will spill the
beans on this one: Everyone who orders the Pajama Genealogy CDs
this month will be getting a coupon to ALSO get the upcoming
new ebook version of the "Pajama Genealogy 2.0" course for free.

Again, this "videos on CDs" version of the Pajama Genealogy course
is gone for good after September 30, 2009, so if you are a
"visual learning-type person," you want to get it now.

Benicio, this special training is well worth the
investment. Take a look at how it has helped other genealogy
researchers at:

Have You Seen these Resources from FamilySearch?
--------------------------------------------------------
Have you taken a good look at FamilySearch lately?

* GO TO: FamilySearch at http://www.familysearch.org/

* LOOK on the left side of your screen (under the search
box) in the "What's New" area, for these links:

- See prototype for searching millions of records
- Family History Lesson Series provides useful guides

* CLICK ON "See prototype for searching millions of records"

This will take you to the "FamilySearch New Pilot Site."
The official link is http://pilot.familysearch.org/

* GO TO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lb6amn_4frQ
and WATCH my short instructional "Get Original Genealogy
and Family History Records with FamilySearch New Record
Search Pilot site" video.

You will get excited when you see how you can get actual
quality images of original records. Also, they are adding new
stuff all the time.

Treasure Map's reader, Cindy Miller, wrote:

"May I tell you how much I love you? Just this evening I viewed
your video about the new "FamilySearch Pilot Program."  Decided to
try it out around the time I needed to be going to bed. Ha, ha. I
may never get there tonight. I have just found loads of things I
have been wanting for a long time. Actually I have found more
things than I knew I wanted. Thank you, thank you, thank you for
the information you provided to get me going off in this
direction." (Cindy Miller)

* GO BACK TO the original FamilySearch at
http://www.familysearch.org/

* CLICK ON the "Family History Lesson Series provides useful
guides" link.

* LOOK at the lessons.

Here you can save and/or print several short lessons covering a
variety of Family History topics. They are available for download
(don't let this throw you off - just click on them and print or
save them) in PDF format. The lessons may be used as self-study
guides or as class supplements for Family History instructors.

The "Family History Lesson Series" includes:

 - Lesson 1: Perform Descendancy Research
 - Lesson 2: Conduct Family History Interviews
 - Lesson 3: Involve Children and Youth in Family History
 - Lesson 4: Write a Personal History
 - Lesson 5: Create a Family History
 - Lesson 6: Involve Your Extended Family in Family History
 - Lesson 7: Use the Internet for Family History Research

My Very Best to You and Yours,

"Haz tu Arbol Genealogico...El Arbol mas Hermoso de la Creacion"

Por medio de la historia familiar descubrimos el árbol más hermoso de la creación: nuestro árbol genealógico.
Sus numerosas raíces se remontan a la historia y sus ramas se extienden a través de la eternidad.
La historia familiar es la expresión extensiva del amor eterno; nace de la abnegación y provee la oportunidad de asegurarse para siempre una unidad familiar".
