Hola amigas y amigos.

Les envío el texto del registro de la sepultura de la cabeza de Don Antonio Zapata quién fué condenado a muerte y decapitado en Santa Rita de Morelos, Coah. el año de 1840, este registro lo localicé hace más de dos años. ( ya les envié la imágen del registro por eso no la incluyo ).

45. Dn. Ant°. Zapata. Adulto. Entierro Mayor.

En el Campo Santo de esta Santa Yglesia Parroquial de Ciud. Guerrero en doce de Abril de mil ochocientos quarenta. Yo el Presb°. José Antonio de la Peña Berastegui como PP°. Parroco di sepultura Ecca. con entierro mayor fabrica de cinco pesos á la cabeza de D. Ant°. Zapata ajusticiado en Sta. Rita de Morelos donde quedó su cuerpo, adulto, viudo me dicen que testó y recibió los Santos Sacramentos para que conste lo firme. José Ant°. de la Peña Berastegui.

FamilySearch has announced that they will be shutting-off the ability to make changes to their (old) new.FamilySearch.org website on Sunday, June 30, 2013. This means that previous releases of RootsMagic (4, 5, and pre-6.1) will no longer be able to write data to new.FamilySearch.org after this date. Users of these older versions of RootsMagic should upgrade or update their software to take advantage of the latest FamilySearch support and features.

The great news is here! We are pleased to announce that an update to RootsMagic 6 is now available which has been "Share+ Certified" (note the "plus") by FamilySearch for use with their new "Family Tree" system. This means that RootsMagic is the only software certified to collaborate and share data with FamilySearch Family Tree!

Last March, RootsMagic became the first software certified to share data with FamilySearch Family Tree. Today's update brings in many collaborative features for FamilySearch that can only be found in RootsMagic. These include enhanced discussions, viewing and copying sources between RootsMagic and Family Tree, as well as viewing a change history for a person and reversing incorrect changes. There are also many enhancements and improvements to existing FamilySearch features.

What is FamilySearch Family Tree?

FamilySearch Family Tree is a new way to organize and record your genealogy online. It is free, is available to everyone, and provides an easy way to discover your place in history with free tools to help you preserve and share your family's story for generations to come.

In Family Tree you can:

See what the system already contains about your ancestors.
Work with others to fill in missing information and correct errors.
Add sources and explanations to show that information is accurate.
Find and merge records that are about the same person.

How is FamilySearch Family Tree different than new.FamilySearch.org?

RootsMagic, the genealogy software named "Easiest to Sync" with new.FamilySearch.org, now brings the same power and features that you love to FamilySearch Family Tree- with more to come!

Family Tree has most of the features that are available on new.FamilySearch.org. Hola amigas y amigos.

Esta Investigación es una breve parte de la que efectué a principios del 2012, conservando copias de los informes y relaciones de los integrantes del Cuerpo de Ejército del Norte.

" Los días 24 y 25 de Marzo del año de 1840 en Santa Rita de Morelos ( Coah.) se efectuó una acción de guerra contra los rebeldes separatistas acaudillados por el Lic. y Gral. Don Antonio Canales Rosillo y Don Antonio Zapata. Las fuerzas de la División Auxiliar del Norte al mando del Gral. Don Mariano Arista derrotaron a los rebeldes logrando escapar el Gral. Canales con algunos de sus seguidores y siendo hecho prisionero Don Antonio Zapata al que se le formó juicio y sentenciado a muerte fué decapitado siendo enviada su cabeza para ser sepultada en el Campo Santo de Cd. Guerrero, Tamps. el 12 de Abril de ese año, ( envío registro que encontré de la sepultura)".

El Mando de la Artillería lo tenía el Gral. de Brigada Don Pedro Ampudia, la Caballería el Coronel Don José Stavoli, 7° Regimiento de Infantería Gral. de Bgda. Don Ysidro Reyes, Auditor de Guerra Lic. Don Miguel Ramos, Ministerio de Guerra Don Benito Calderón, Yngenieros Teniente Don Alejandro Castillo y demás fuerzas integrantes de la División.

Los Presidiales a las órdenes del Tte. Corl. Don Rafael Ugartechea, el Batallón de Zapadores Don Miguel Blanco.

Don Marcelo Bustamante ancestro de Emilio Indio Fernández tambien estuvo en esta acción.

Entre las fuerzas integrantes de las Compañías Presidiales que concurrieron a dicha acción : De Monclova, Agua Verde, Río Grande, la Babia, Lampazos, Bejar, Bahía del Espiritu Santo, Alamo, 1a. y 2a. Activas de Nuevo León, Permanente de Tamaulipas, de Tampico.

De la Compañia Presidial de Lampazos combatieron: Teniente-Sargento: Felipe Gil, Alferez Vicente Gil. Cabos: Dionicio de la Garza, Antonio Osorio, Antonio de la Cruz, MARCELO BUSTAMANTE y Manuel Castañeda. Soldados: Manuel Celvera, Manuel Flores,Tomas Herrera, Teodoro Escamilla, Antonio Pérez, Cirilo Briseño, Juan Jose Aguilar, Miguel Flores, Juan José Contreras, Santos Villarreal, Francisco Flores, Gregorio Flores, Pedro Esparza, Tomas María Murillo, Exiquio Cortes, Victoriano Valverde, Manuel Garza, Pedro Pérez, Manuel Cano, Ygnacio Ortiz, Margarito Nava, Monico Martinez, Quirino Martinez, Francisco Reyes y Juan Chabana.

In a blog posting today, FamilySearch announced the retirement of it's Personal Ancestral File (PAF) genealogy software.

"Beginning July 15, 2013, PAF will be retired and will no longer be available for download or support. For full details and for information on alternative products, please visit http://familysearch.org/PAF."

The linked page recommends that PAF users upgrade to family history software from one of the FamilySearch parters. Of the three options listed, RootsMagic is the only software certified to utilize the full capabilities of FamilySearch Family Tree, including sharing data, ordinances, discussions, sources, and change history.

We understand that change isn't easy, so we've worked hard at putting together some new tools and supports to make the transition as painless as possible for PAF users.

This is an interesting development. I started on PAF years ago and made the migration to Roots Magic on my own several years ago. It has been and easy transition and allowed me features that were not available in PAF.

I highly recommend that PAF users upgrade to the RootsMagic software you will find it a GREAT Tool.

This is great! I have many people still using PAF and not wanting to change. I tell them about RootsMagic. Perhaps this will get them going. Thank you for such a wonderful program.

Having served a mission as the Supervisor of the FamilySearch Research Support Team I was first introduced to RootsMagic. It is an amazing and powerful tool and I highly recommend it as your family history personal support management tool. Free videos and help screens with steps and pictures are available from RootsMagic and they offer wonderful support if needed. Migration of PAF files are a snap. You will not be disappointed!

You are wonderful to allow old PAF users to convert so easy. I was one of them starting with version 4 of RootsMagic. It is the greatest program I have worked with. More importantly Bruce and Michael make is fun and easy.

I've been a RootsMagic user for several years now. However, I also have used PAF for a longer time as I used it as a teaching tool for beginning family history users. I am happy that, not only has RootsMagic made their new update available to us at a fantastic price, but the best part is how easily it was to transfer all my many PAF files over. Thank you RootsMagic!

Being able to transfer our sources from RootsMagic directly into Familysearch FamilyTree is worth the price of the software alone. What a blessing! Thank you for 'keeping it simple'.

Two friends told me about RootsMagic. It was a little bit scary, but I was excited about it. a dear friend bought it for me and came over to my house to help me install it. Each day I read a little bit more of "Getting the Most Out of RootsMagic 6″ and work on using it. This is exciting and fun!

I am apparently in the minority. I asked for and received Roots Magic last Christmas as it had been mentioned for a long time that PAF would be coming to an end eventually and Roots Magic was the way to go forward. I am having a hard time using it as I had used PAF since the early days of the original "floppy" discs. I am a senior citizen and not the most tech savvy, so I hope that quick start guide will work for me.

Josefa Borrego y para que conste lo firmo. J. Ponciano de Jauregui.

Nota. de lo investigado sobre los ancestros paternos y maternos de Don Emilio Fernández Romo se concluye que su Sra. Madre Doña Sara Romo no era de origen Kikapoo, esto fué una de las fantasías de el ( Indio )
